I couldn’t get the newer editions at the time–and place, and even now when I would buy one a fresh copy–they are very expensive–I don’t know which edition is ‘best.

The one concern that arises is the lack of attention given to World Englishes when considering finding appropriate texts, since World Englishes texts might cut down on the problem of background knowledge in some areas of the world.
